SAMS Summer Holiday - Monday 29 July - Friday 2 August 2024
Its that time again, our favourite week of the year, yep that’s right!!…..Its the SAMS summer holiday! Of course back at our usual holiday venue and home of our very own SAMs caravans! - yep you guessed it its the beautiful Drimsynie Estate at Loch Goilhead. The holiday ran very similarly to last years with it being for 4 nights and every family getting their own caravan. During the day we had a variety of different activities on the go and the kids got to choose what activities they took part in!
Everyone arrived on the Monday, there was no specific time to arrive and the kids got to spend time with their families and explore their caravans!
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the kids got to join in with a variety of different activities. Everyone had a morning activity and an afternoon activity booked for each of these days. This years activities included Swimming, Lazer Tag, Boat Trips, Build-A-Bear, Sand-Art, Pottery art, Zorbing, Archery, Aero Ball, Mini Golf and Gorge Walking! Yeah quite a variety of things to do! As well as this there was also plenty fun had at the playpark, the soft play area and in the arcade in between the different activities. Everyone had a great time and everyone got to enjoy the activities that they chose.
On the final afternoon we got everyone together and held our annual sports day. There was plenty races and fun, there was also a wee cheeky water fight at the end too (why not eh, it is tradition after all!).
In the evening SAMs hosted our very own fancy dress party one of the nights, there was also music, karaoke and party games for everyone to join in with. On another night our volunteers looked after the kids in the campsite whilst the parents got to enjoy a night out as we like to call it ‘The Parents Night’
Throughout the week there were plenty ice cream and treats for the kids to snack on during the day. Each family also got money towards their food and drink in their caravan.
